Friday Favorites

I'm trying to hold onto the end of summer. I love fall, but there are a few things about summer that I always miss/keep doing well into fall. This week for Friday Faves, I'm doing an end of summer edition. :) This also happens to go along with #5 on the September Blogging Challenge-Top Five Highlights from Summer. Check out yesterday's post to see all the details of the challenge and my first challenge post.

I'm linking up with the HeatherKatie, and Clare for Friday Favorites/Five Things Friday! Check out their great blogs for the fun linkups!!  Thank you ladies for hosting!

What I'm loving...

Delicious watermelon-so juicy and wonderful. I'm pretty sure that I could eat a whole watermelon by myself!!

Baseball season-the Royals are still doing awesome! The atmosphere at the games is always great, but having our first real shot at the playoffs in almost 30 years has really energized the crowds!! (Note that my coozie only covers 1/3 of my beer. #firstworldprobs)

Run/walks with my sweet pup are so nice. He LOVES them!! This is definitely an activity that I do anytime the weather cooperates; no matter what season!

When I think of summer foods, I always think of barbecue. We had friends over on Monday night and the boys made really delicious smoked ribs!!

We also enjoyed some porch sitting...I mean really, who doesn't enjoy porch sitting?!?  I'm pretty sure porch sitting is another one of those activities that should be done anytime the weather is nice!

What are some of your summer faves?

  1. mmmmm those ribs look delicious. And I agree about porch sitting - not too many things that are better than that! Happy Friday. :)

  2. BBQ...YUM! I am also loving walks with the pup, but they are actually hotter than I was hoping for this week. I'm secretly excited for the fall this year. Thanks so much for linking up, and have a great weekend! xo
