5 Things Friday-Wedding Month Goals

I can't believe it is already October!!  I'm getting married in less than 25 days!!  It is exciting and stressful all at the same time, but definitely more exciting than stressful. :)  As usual, I'm linking up with the HeatherKatie, and Clare for Five Things Friday! Check out their great blogs for the fun linkups!!  As always, thank you ladies for hosting!

This week, I am setting my wedding month goals.  I already made my mile long to do list, but I have a few goals as well.

#1-Enjoy the process.  I don't want to get so caught up in checking things off of my to do list that I forget to have fun!  I'm having my wedding makeup trial tonight and I am really excited!  Being a bride comes with lots of perks...I need to remember to enjoy them!!

#2-Not let wedding planning consume every part of our lives.  We have a ton of other things going on this month.  The Royals are in the playoffs (for the first time in 29 years!); I'm hosting a pumpkin decorating party; Bobby has his bachelor party in Las Vegas!; Beer Olympics; a half marathon...etc, etc.  And I am pretty sure that our friends and family can only take so much wedding talk!

#3-Track food and exercise.  I have been slacking in this department for most of the year.  MyFitnessPal app is looking pretty neglected and sad.  I need to keep myself accountable to make sure my dress fits in a few months!!

#4-Get ready for the honeymoon!  I have done some research on Puerto Rico, but not a ton.  I would love any suggestions from those of you who have been.  San Juan seems like such a fun and cultural city with so much to experience!

#5-Last, but certainly not least---don't forget to plan for the marriage!!  People get so caught up in the wedding that they forget about their fiance...I don't want to get so caught up in being a bride that I forget that I currently have a relationship!!  I love Bobby and wedding planning/to dos have been fun to do together, but we have a great relationship outside of wedding stuff.  We learned some great skills in pre-marital counseling that help to make our relationship stronger each day!

  2. Oh man, I remember the stress of planning a wedding. Your list is spot on! As hard as it may seem, really try and enjoy the process. Soon it will all be over! Things will get stressful and I'm sure you are at the point where you don't want to make one more decision, but take some deep breaths and know it will all be worth it. And YES for Puerto Rico! That's awesome!! Hope you have a great weekend! :)

  4. DEFINITELY just enjoy the process! If things go wrong, who cares?! It's YOUR day, and the mishaps just add to the days memories. And will make some laughs down the road. :) Besides, the day will be great no matter what because you are starting a new life with your love, so just enjoy every little part of the 25 days AND the day of!
