This past Friday was Red Friday-the official start to football season in Kansas City. To celebrate, we headed to Union Station for the Red Friday pep rally. The celebration included a concert by some local bands, the pep rally with lots of the players, Quixotic (the Kansas City-based innovative performance company) created a laser video show that displayed the history of Union Station on the building, and the finale of the night was a great fireworks show!!
The video show was AMAZING!!! 12 digital projectors we used to show the history of Union Station all the way from the golden age of railroads to current day. I took a short video of the beginning of the show.
Saturday was all about being productive. Bobby and I went for a run and the got out to run errands. We are 7 weeks away from the wedding, so lots of errands to run! We made a new to me
fish taco recipe for dinner.
I also signed up for this fun and FREE Virtual 4 miler. Lea at Running with Ollie setup a virtual 4 mile race that includes a scavenger hunt. You just complete a 4 mile run between September 21st and October 5th. For details and to register, check out her post,
here.
And just for fun...a Porter pic...looking handsome in his scarf...he must have taken notes when I watched the Bachelor this season. :)
Did you watch any football this weekend? All of my teams lost, but it still fun to watch!!
What was the highlight of your weekend?
Hi from a fellow Kansascitian :) Love that your dog let you put a scarf on him and that he posed so well!
