6 Months to Go!!!
Engagement Party-We had such a blast. Fun personal touches and a great group of friends made it out. It was during terrible weather, so we really appreciated it!!We also had our save the date photos taken. Our photographer did such a great job!! Check out Shauna's website if you are in the KC area. She does great work!!
The packaging was so cute when she gave us the dvd.
We got them addressed and mailed. That was a fun day! No turning back now. (Not that I ever would!!!)
Some fun details and decorations are also falling into place!!
I have even been bridesmaid dress shopping with all 6 girls!! The Texas girls and I went to David's to see what they have to offer...they have a great selection and lots of dresses that are pretty affordable. We didn't find anything to commit to though. The hunt continues!
I went with the KC girls to Bella Bridesmaid-such a fun experience. It is appointment only and they pull dresses in a private area for the girls. Super easy. The girls even ordered their dresses while we were there! Here are the colors (not the dresses).
Wedding diet in full swing...thank you Advocare 24 Day Challenge!!
I'm also staying current on wedding shows and magazines. Mostly just for fun and laughs...I heart David Tutera!!
I had no idea wedding planning was so fun!! So far no bridezilla moments here. :)
========================================================================
Wedding planning has been a blast so far!! I don't want it to take over the blog, so I made it a section all its own! :)
I plan to just add updates as we go along. The first thing I did was get my dress...weird, I know! But my awesome parents surprised me with dress shopping at Thanksgiving when my entire family was together. It was so special to get to go with my Mom, Grandma, sister, aunt, and cousin...along with my oldest friend in the world and her daughter, and my soon to be sister-in-law (if my brother ever gets off his lazy booty and proposes to her...we all love her!).
There were some scary choices....but in the end we found a dress and got to celebrate with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries!!
Next up was venues. There are so many in Kansas City that we had a hard time narrowing it down. We checked out 4 total and chose our favorite. I couldn't be more thrilled with our choice.
We selected the photographer and DJ along the way and the boys even selected their attire. Really nice grey suits...we went to pay for them and the sales guys all remembered Bobby. Apparently the boys were quite a hit-running around the store in jackets and no pants...silly fellas!
We have our guest count figured out now. 178...seems like a good number and our guess of 125 people seems about right. Yippee!
It's hard to believe how much we have done with 9 months left to the wedding. Check back for more updates as they come!
Just came across your blog and am LOVING this wedding planning section. I actually miss planning my wedding :( I can't believe it's been 10 months. I love nothing more than watching our wedding video and constantly reliving the best day of our life.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like the blog and wedding planning section! It's one of my favorite parts! Thank you for reminding me that I haven't posted anything to this section in forever. I need to do an update. :)
