Wedding Recap #2-Rehearsal Dinner

If you missed my first wedding recap post, please check it out here.  It was all about getting ready for the big day!  Today's recap is the rehearsal dinner and party that followed.

We had our official rehearsal dinner at the church.  We started with delicious barbecue catered by one of the best places in KC, Jack Stack BBQ.  If you are ever in town, they have several restaurant locations and the food is amazing!  It also happened to be the American League Championship Series and the Royals were playing-so naturally, we arranged for the game to be on the televisions.

After dinner, we handed out gifts to the bridesmaids and groomsmen and parents.  I went a little Etsy crazy on their gifts.  The groomsmen got their ties for the wedding and custom man cave signs.

The bridesmaids got personalized totes and jewelry to wear at the wedding.

The parents were the hardest gifts to choose.  Both of the dads got ties and I got my dad a tie bar that said Father of the Bride on it.  I got each of the moms personalized handkerchiefs with a sweet message on each of them.

We also got both sets of parents digital picture frames loaded with about 150 family photos on each one.  They can add to as they see fit.

We took some more pictures with friends and family before heading out for the night.

After dinner, we headed back to our house with the bridal party and some friends.  Bobby and I bought a whole bunch of wine and a pony keg of Boulevard Pale Ale for the after party.  Who doesn't have a keg party the night before their wedding??  I'll be honest, there are not really any pictures from this part.  We just let loose, watched the Royals win, and enjoyed time with everyone!

More posts to come and I'm linking up with Spoons for Thinking Out Loud. Pop over to check out the other fun TOL posts.

Happy almost Friday!!!
