Weekend Recap

This weekend we went to check out wedding venues.  We narrowed it down to 4 sites.  First things first though.  We stopped for breakfast and coffee.

Our first stop was Arrowhead Stadium.  It was a huge space that holds 750 people.  It was a cool spot, but a little expensive and way too big for our wedding.  (Side note: Chiefs won on Sunday...playoff spot clenched...yippeeee!!!)  Next up we visited a golf course.  The space overlooked the course and it was beautiful.  A little out dated and awkward, but still cute.  The 3rd place we stopped was a loft space with amazing views of downtown.  Wide open and modern.  Last we went to a gallery.  It is 2 rooms with lots of potential.  It was a productive day!

After a long day of touring venues, we opened a bottle of wine to help us decompress.  This is one of the bottles that I got on a trip to Oregon.  Delicious pinot noir!!

We also had some Prosecco at dinner to celebrate making a decision!!

Saturday, we went to Bobby's family Christmas with everyone.  This is the big get together with lots of food and fun.  When we got home, we took Porter out for a walk and he broke his first leash.  Already!!  We had to purchase a new one.  Kong this time!  Who knew they were so expensive?!?!  :)

Saturday night some girlfriends and I decided to do an Anchorman viewing party in preparation for the new one coming out this week.  What goes better with the 70s than a fondue party!?!?

Notice the capes...these were the random Christmas present that I got for my old roommates.  We always talk about doing a cape making party.  Yes, we are dorks and super random!  We wore the capes most of the night.

Since we were drinking, we all stayed the night and woke up to make amazing bloody marys!  Probably the best one I have ever drank!!

Busy, busy weekend, but so much fun!!!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend too!

What did you do this weekend?
What do you put in your bloody marys?  We had celery, pickles, bacon, shrimp, olives as our garnish.
