It is officially 12 weeks until my first half marathon of 2014. Let the training begin. I hopped on the treadmill for a quick 4 miles.
10 minute warmup
20 minutes of 2 mins at 8 mph speed and 2 mins at 7-7.2 mph recover
Finish out at 8 mph so I make my average 8 min miles.
I can tell that I took a little break from running and hard exercise for November and December. The run was harder than normal, but it will get easier and faster soon.
Lots of sweat while doing abs.
After the gym, I headed to happy hour for a couple of beers. Then headed home to make dinner. I made pork chops, mashed potatoes and salad. Made it under my calorie allotment for day one of diet clean up. Yay!!
I also managed to me more pleasant and positive at work.
So far, so good on the New Years resolutions. One day down...lots more opportunities to succeed left to go!!
