Speaking of continuation from yesterday's post...remember when I said that I am a crazy pet parent. I checked out my pictures from this week and this is what I found...
Out for a walk |
Doing abs with my helper |
Stretching with my helper-he was a little tired after our walk! |
I recently signed up to be a coach with Girls on the Run (a great organization which encourages girls to feel healthy and confident and empowered by running). When I was on their site signing up, I found out that they are one of the charities on Charity Miles.
Charity Miles is what I really wanted to tell you guys about. It is an app on your phone that uses the GPS to track miles, and equates them to either $.10/mile for biking or $.25/mile for running or walking to be donated to the charity of your choice. Once you finish your activity, it asks to post to Facebook or Twitter. You are required to do the post for the miles to count because it raises awareness for your charity and the company sponsoring you/donating the money. I encourage all of you who walk, run or bike to download the app and check it out. If you are doing the activity anyway, why not raise money and awareness for your favorite charity??
My strawberry plant has fruit! It has been growing tiny green strawberries, but I finally have an adorable red and ripe strawberry!!! I should not be this excited about one strawberry, but I can't help myself!
The summer trend of cute flowy and light tops is fantastic. This shirt from Francesca's is super cute. So is this from this top from Express.
What are you loving right now?
My puppies like to be "helpers" too! It's all well and good until they start licking my face :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your strawberries! It's so cool when a plant you care for does what it's supposed to do!
What a cool app! I've never heard of that before, in need to download it! Love the kids with your pup... Ours does the same thing! Thanks for linking up! Happy Weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI totally have the same problem with my dog!! ;) Can't wait for my strawberry plant to grow cute strawberries! Right now it's only flowers though! Thank God there's the farmers market until then ;) Btw, the Charity Miles is really awesome! I'll have to start using it!
ReplyDeleteHelper dogs are the best! I hope your strawberry plant produces soon. :)
DeleteI love the Charity Miles app! It's so awesome to be able to do something I love (running!) and give back to a charity at the same time!
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy! I'm very glad that I found the app!!
Deletewoo hoo for that strawberry - hopefully lots more to come this summer. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope, but the other strawberries are tiny! We will see. :)
