Brought to you while watching #SNL40

Did you guys watch the SNL 40th anniversary show? It was amazing!! So many great people...it was hilarious!

I'm blogging while watching and I'm doing it from my phone. This means that there will be lots of photos and very little words. :)

Vday started with a 6 miler followed by some puppy snuggles.

Bobby got me a funny card and my favorite chocolates. I love Doves!! Oh and I love my husband too!

We made lamb chops, sea scallops, polenta and roasted carrots for dinner. It turned out great! Perfect medium rare ion the lamb and the smoked Gouda polenta was so good!!

After dinner we snuggled up on the couch for the always romantic 22 Jump Street. I know, we are so ridiculously romantic!!

I may have shared my wine.

I went to brunch with some friends on Sunday morning. It was the first annual Friend Appreciation Day. Why not celebrate your friends??

I had a delicious Bloody Mary-bacon, beef jerky, celery, lime and olive garnish.

My meal was a pork tenderloin hash. The pork went really well with the peppers, onion and potatoes.

After brunch, the ladies headed to see 50 Shades. It was really good!! I was surprised by the humor and quality of the movie. If you've read the book, you should see the movie!

How did you celebrate Vday?

How do you celebrate your friends?

  2. I think I'm the only one who didn't watch SNL40! The only reason is because where I'm staying has no tv- so I didn't have a choice.
All of your food is making me sooo hungry. It all looks amazing.
I watched 50 shades this weekend too. I was kinda disappointed with it. I never thought Jamie would be a good Christian, and I was right. I did love the humor in it, that was unexpected! I did read the books and I'm still looking forward to the next movie.

  3. I don't know how to post a blog from my phone... I must learn how to do that!

It sounds like your Valentine's Day weekend was wonderful! I got chocolates and a homemade dinner, too! I wanted to watch the SNL40 show... I think I have it taped and need to find time to watch it. Sleep has been very important lately, which means I choose going to bed early over watching TV at night.
