Friday Favorites

I'm so happy that it is Friday!!  This week has been a long one, so I really appreciate the upcoming weekend!  As always, I'm linking up with HeatherKatie, and Clare for Friday Favorites!

I stuck with the snow theme because we have had the craziest weather!!  I have been able to run outside in shorts on one day...

and then snow the next!  Yikes!

I am super excited for the weekend though.  We are supposed to get up to 66 degrees on Saturday!!  Yippee!!  And it is my first official training run with my old neighbor/running buddy.  It will be so great to enjoy the weather and catch up while we run 6 miles.  He is much faster than me, so it is nice to have to push to keep up!

Now, let's get down to some faves!

Chocolate Ale has been released for 2015.  Each year, Boulevard Brewing Company (local to KC) partners with Christopher Elbow (local Chocolatier) to create a chocolate ale.  I had my first glass of the year at dinner on Tuesday.  I think the batch this year is the perfect mix of chocolate flavor with the lighter ale taste.

Cake-No, not chocolate cake...the movie!  It stars Jennifer Aniston.  I went to see it last night with a couple of friends.  Popcorn is considered a food group, right?

I really liked putting together my Inspiration Post.  I love the empowering quotes that build you up!  It was just what I needed to get my booty to the gym for a run after a long and busy work day.

I have been loving the black bean and corn salsa all week.  The recipe makes a ton, so I added in some chicken and brown rice and have made burrito bowls for lunch all week!  Notice the adorable owl pot holder...my SIL got that for me.  It is so cute!

Recycled photo from Monday...I have been starving at lunch all week, so I haven't taken any more pics!

I saved the best for last this week.  I got to hear my little niece or nephew's heartbeat this week!!  12 weeks until I get to meet the little bundle of joy!  I'm so excited.  I'm betting on girl, but we won't know until he/she comes out.
