Weekend Recap

This weekend was a great mix of fun, productivity, and relaxing.

Bobby and I headed out for a date night on Friday. We have been out lately, but not just the 2 of us.

We planned a fun dinner and some drinks for our evening. There was a cute little jazz band playing while we enjoyed our fabulous dinner.

Of course there was wine!!

We started with a great cheese plate. I ordered lobster mac and cheese and Bobby had a pork gnocchi. Both were so good, but we were so into our conversation that I failed to take a pic.

We rounded out dinner with a skillet cookie.

Then we bounced over to another bar for some house infused cocktails.

Saturday consisted of a lot of boring errands-including buying a new desk for Bobby to work from home. Most of the afternoon was spent putting the desk together. It ended up being more of a project than we anticipated, but I think we did a good job!!

We also did some cleaning and other housework. We were pretty spent from all of our productivity, so we ordered Chinese food and settled in on the couch.

Sunday was spent with the family. We took Porter up to Bobby's parent's for a great family day. Church, lunch and great conversation.

I'm ready for this cold weather to go away so these recaps will include more outdoor activities!! Unfortunately, that is not in the foreseeable future...so indoor is all you get.

Is it still winter where you live?

What is your favorite date night?

  1. Ohhhh the picture of that skillet cookie makes me want to break my no-added-sugar commitment!

Sounds like you guys had an awesome date night, but I am also so impressed at how social the two of you are with all the group gatherings you host (and attend). Always good to have lotsa friends.

It is definitely still winter here in Colorado -- we just got a good weekend of snow, although nothing like the 8-12" they predicted. Other parts of Colorado got hit good, just not where we live.
