Treat Yourself Tuesday #40 and a Stitch Fix Review

I still can't believe that I missed Treat Yourself Tuesday last week.  I have some catching up to do!!  If you haven't heard about TYT, head over to Becky's blog for all the details!

Let's catch up, shall we?

I have been treating myself to delicious Starbucks Holiday coffees when I get a chance.  A tall eggnog latte is perfect for a cold afternoon!

I also got a fun holiday manicure before my brother's wedding.  I love the pop of red!

On our way to Texas, we stopped at a hotel to crash half way.  9 hour drives should always be broken into 2 days!  It leaves time to treat yourself to a wine break and some rest!  We kept it super classy with the plastic cups!

I'm not sure if this is a treat or craziness, but I signed up for the Heartland 39.3 race series.  It is 3 half marathons in about a month.  April 11th, April 18th, and May 9th.  I feel like this is especially crazy considering that I have Brew to Brew (a 40+ mile relay-see recap from last year) on April 12th and another half marathon on May 16th.  I guess it is a good way to get myself in shape after winter!! :)

I'm still treating myself to Stitch Fix every month or so.  If you haven't heard of Stitch Fix (referral link), you should check it out.  For a $20 styling fee, a stylist picks out 5 pieces based on a survey that you fill out and your Pinterest board and notes that you can leave for the stylist.  The $20 fee applies to any items that you decide to keep and if you keep all 5 items, you get 25% off.

I'll admit that I was a little disappointed with this one and I apologize for the pictures.  My husband was not thrilled to be taking blog photos.  :)

Tart Dress ($88)-Verdict on the dress-RETURNED.  It was form fitting which I liked, but my shoulders look super wide!!

Chevron Scarf ($32), Skies are Blue plaid top ($54), and Level 99 wide leg jeans ($138).  Verdict-loved the scarf, but recently kept a different blue scarf-RETURNED; plaid top-super cute and will pair well with a puffer vest-KEPT; wide leg pants-not my style and too expensive-RETURNED

View of pants from the back-really high waisted and really wide legs.  Is this style coming back?  I felt like I was playing dress up in 70's clothes.

Last but not least, a blue cardigan.  I'll be honest, I have no idea how much this cost or who makes it.  It was a fine cardigan, but I feel like I have so many!!  And look at the sleeves...I should not have 3 inches of wrist showing.  Verdict-RETURNED.

Is there something that I should know about wide leg jeans?  Are they coming back?

Do you Stitch Fix? (yes, I made it a verb)

Name 1 treat from this past week.

    1. It's so addicting! I tried changing to every other month, but I totally changed it back.

  2. I know high wasted things are back in (ew, why is this a good look?) but I'm not sure about wide-leg pants. But I sure hope not. Unless you're like 6 feet tall, I'm not sure that's a good look for anyone!! I haven't tried Stitchfix yet though, and now I'm going to wait until post-pregnancy (because nothing fits quite right on the bump), but I'm definitely interested! I've seen so many great reviews!!

    1. Waiting is good. The clothes are a little expensive to buy just for a few months. I think you'll like it!

  3. Okay, let's try this comment thing again! Unfortunately wide legs are coming back into style. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY? I don't mind high waisted pants but wide legs? Tell me no. SF is such a hit or miss. Sometimes I love it and other times I'm like stylist girl, what were you thinking?!
